Handbuilding Clay Techniques Workshop
Discover the joy of creating with your hands in this unique and engaging hand building clay techniques workshops with Jo Jo. In these workshops, you will learn how to craft your own ceramic pieces from scratch using simple but effective methods including pinch pots, coiling, slab building, and much more. You will be guided through the process of hand building, where you will create beautiful and functional pieces to take home.
If you're new to working with clay, there's no need to worry - Jo Jo creates a welcoming and supportive environment where beginners can thrive. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve with just a little guidance and encouragement! Throughout the session, you will work with white Raku clay and a wide variety of tools to bring your creations to life. The experience of working with clay is not only therapeutic but also incredibly rewarding. You will leave the workshop feeling inspired and with your own unique pieces to display proudly in your home.
You can attend once, or book in every Friday, Jo will guide you according to where you are up to!
Firing and glazing is included for up to 2 small peices.

Please note: Your creations will be professionally fired after the workshop and ready for collection approximately 3–4 weeks later. If you would like to glaze your work yourself, ask us about our follow-up glazing sessions.

School Holiday Workshops 12-16yrs
VIA Studio's School Holiday Art Workshops offer creative, hands-on experiences for children aged 12–16 years old in a welcoming and inclusive studio environment. Each workshop introduces young artists to a different artistic process—from paper collage and painting techniques to a range of exciting mixed-media projects—encouraging creativity, experimentation and self-expression. Children will explore professional art materials, learn new skills and create a finished artwork to take home, all while building confidence and having fun alongside other young makers. No previous art experience is needed, and our experienced facilitators ensure every child feels supported to create in their own unique way.
